About Ashley Holmes Design

A Curated Life in Bloom

I’ve always believed that nature holds the quiet kind of beauty the kind that is classic and timeless, the kind of beauty that lasts. As a designer and gardener, I’m drawn to things with history, texture, and soul - to the beautiful imperfections that time gently softens. My work with antique and vintage Swedish herbariums is born from that affection — a love for preserved botanicals and the stories they still carry.

What began as a personal collection — a fascination with the delicate intricacies of pressed flowers from my childhood and the handwritten Latin names scrawled in fading ink - has grown into Ashley Holmes Design: a space where interiors and memory meet.

Each herbarium I collect is an original — often over 100 years old — sourced from European archives and private collections. These are not just floral prints; they are real flowers, scientific specimens, once gathered by hand, carefully labeled, and pressed into time. I see them as small, silent works of art - honest, imperfect, and utterly timeless.

Whether framed on a gallery wall, styled in an entryway, or resting above a fireplace, these pieces bring something rare into the home: a natural pause. A preserved breath. A moment of stillness.

Ashley Holmes Design exists to share these moments. To offer something meaningful — poetic, grounded, and beautifully aged.

Welcome. I’m so glad you’re here.
